Join our certified wound care team treating residents on-site across Florida. You will assess, treat and track wounds in the resident's own room, and work with facility nursing staff on prevention.
Responsibilities
- Perform wound assessment and staging
- Carry out debridement and select advanced dressing protocols
- Monitor for infection and adjust treatment plans
- Document weekly progress with photo tracking
- Educate facility nursing staff on prevention and positioning
- Coordinate with primary care and chronic care teams where residents overlap
Requirements
- Active Florida Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
- Wound care certification (WCC, CWCN, CWS or equivalent) or willingness to obtain
- Experience treating pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers and surgical wounds
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between facilities
- Strong documentation habits and comfort teaching facility staff
